Eaton Fire Recovery
Weekly Report of Survivors’ Pressing Needs
Sign up to receive the weekly Eaton Fire Recovery Report – a concise, actionable snapshot of what survivors are facing right now.
Every week, we analyze thousands of conversations happening inside the Eaton Fire Survivors Network—a network where over 2,000 fire survivors connect, ask questions, and support each other in real time.
The EFSN team anonymizes this data, then generates a concise, actionable summary every week that gives you a direct window into the evolving needs of Eaton Fire Survivors.
Each edition includes:
• The most-asked questions on survivors' minds
• The challenges they’re actively navigating
• The progress of recovery unfolding week by week
At first, this report was just for our leadership team — an internal tool to keep a pulse on a community growing faster than anyone expected. Over time, we saw how valuable it could be to calibrate direct impact campaigns, influence policy decisions and escalate our voices in the media.
The beta period is coming to an end, and we’re taking our findings public. That’s why we’ve chosen to share it publicly.
By opening up these insights, we aim to close the gap between survivor experience and recovery response, so that efforts across government, nonprofits, and philanthropy can become more informed, more coordinated, and more survivor-centered.
Stay informed with weekly updates from the front lines of recovery.
Built on a process you can trust
We’ve internally developed a suite of technology and tools to analyze community chat data at scale, surfacing trends and key themes. Every report is then reviewed and refined by a human to ensure accuracy, relevance, and cultural context.
We protect member privacy by removing all personal identifiers, using de-identified logs for AI processing, and conducting a final human review before release. Additional safeguards are being developed as the project evolves.
